Holiday Lighting Contest Winners

The results are in for the first Holiday Lighting Contest on South Padre Island. There were more competitors that I had anticipated and it all came together to make the Island look great this holiday season.

For competition among commercial properties, the winners included:

First: Jake’s Bar & Grill at 2500 Padre Blvd. ($2,000)

Second: Ace Condo Rentals at 4901 Padre Blvd. ($1,000)

Third: Cap’n Roy’s at 1313 Padre Blvd .($500)

For competition among residential properties, the winners included:

First: Johnny & Estella Pineda at 117 E. Carolyn. ($1,000)

Second: Brian & Brenda Bailey at 5900 Tropical. ($500)

Third: Gregory & Debra Trubisky at 125 E. Gardenia. ($250)
