Endagered Sea Turtle to Recieve Prostetic Flipper

A 3 year old turtle named Alison, who resides at Sea Turtles Inc, is about to become the first sea turtle to have a prostetic flipper.  She was found 2 years ago with only 1 flipper, having most likely lost the other 3 to a predator.  She has prospered and is at the normal weight range for her age but is unable to swim in deep water tanks because she cannot swim except in counter-clockwise circles and can only surface by pushing herself up with her head.  The curators of the rescue center hope that this artificial flipper will improver her quality of life and allow her to survive in the deep water tanks.
